Heating those homes, and driving to and from them, could get a little tricky though given the state of the energy market... U.S. crude production has surged and OPEC (the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries) had to decide how to cope with the increased competition during their meeting yesterday. It sounds like a production slowdown to the tune of 1.5 million barrels a day is on the horizon—[if Russia gets on board](https://www.cnbc.com/2020/03/06/opec-meeting-coronavirus-weighs-on-oil-demand-as-oil-prices-fall.html), that is.  And while coronavirus cases continue to multiply, China's stock market at least appears to have stabilized, but how (and where) exactly could the virus affect U.S. GDP growth? 1. Between demand concerns and U.S. production, OPEC+ met this week to cut global supply.
